i love the way you think about the world
there are just a very few newsletters i subscribe to which i legit look forward to reading, and I make sure i'm in a good space to read them.
A recent thing I'm working on is not going back to bed once I'm up, as it feeds into a negative spiral etc.
But having said that, some days it feels so spectacularly good to purposefully make a full plunger of coffee and go back to bed to read emails.
The Imperfectionist is one of those. today's begins:
"The older I get, the more convinced I become that it’s a critical life-skill – at least if you’re roughly the sort of person I am – to get better at disappointing other people."
and goes on to talk about tasks and responsibility and insecurity and emotional freedom all of which feels very relevant to my brain and this journey I'm on.
i think it also lands from a values lens and organisational point of view - know your vision and values and value proposition and hold fast to that
(this also does highlight i need to get it together and find a way to finish my morning porch ... been collecting secondhand windows etc for a few years now. then i'll have a sunny spot to sit that isn't bed)
